As has become the tradition at the end of each school year in Torah Academy of Buffalo Grove, the students participate in an exciting and educational alphabet countdown. Starting from the letter A twenty-six days before school is over, the kids in the older classes gathered to vote on the theme for each day in the upcoming weeks. The creative and fun (and sometimes wacky) ideas have resulted in some memorable experiences and awesome school spirit!
Here are a few examples…
H is for Hostas (and Hat Day too, but the hostas were more exciting): The kids got to do some fun gardening, beautify the grounds, and enjoy the fruits of their labors (and spend time off of class!) during this unique activity of hosta-planting.
L is for Lego!
Classic fun–who doesn’t love a little extra lego time? The kids got so creative and added on lots of details!P is for Paint Party!
The kindergarten class took this a step further than everyone else and declared it a day exclusively for painting, playtime, and pizza! Their painting party was a paint-plate-passing party, with the colors going round the table! We’re excited to make it to Z but sad to leave school behind! (Did you know that some students have requested longer school days so they could learn more Torah? We were shepping nachas!)
