Dress up day was amazing! On the first day of Adar II, the month in which Purim falls, the younger boys came to school with their Purim costumes. The kids loved seeing their friends dressed in great, creative costumes. At lunch time the boys had a chance to show off their costumes and tell everyone who they were.In the Purim story there are lots of unexpected reversals, and Cheder Lubavitch Boys School held a “Topsy Turvy” Day in keeping with this theme. It was a lot of fun! Elections were held, and the winners took on the roles of teachers and school staff for a time after lunch. The “teachers” prepared and taught a lesson, and the other “staff members” were put to work as well. The boys that switched into their new positions did a great job! All the students enjoyed Topsy Turvy day and getting into the Purim spirit. On Sunday the Kita Daled class invited the other classes and their parents to their Sukkah Fair! After learning in Mishnayos all about different types of Sukkas, which ones are Kosher and which ones are not, they proudly displayed their knowledge and creativity and built model Sukkahs. All were impressed with how well they designed their Sukkahs and how well they knew the detailed Halachos of each case.
