This year’s Parent Education Night featured renowned speaker Jedd Hafer from the Love & Logic Institute. This initiative, underwritten by the Campbell Family in memory of Eitan Campbell, a”h was created to offer parents effective ways to deal with complex issues that arise when parenting. Mr. Hafer’s interactive presentation focused on how parents can lovingly encourage their children to take more responsibility for themselves and their actions. The following morning, he met with ACHDS teachers to practice incorporating similar techniques with their students in the classroom.Arie Crown is offering free after school math sessions for students in grades 4, 5 and 6. Boys and girls each meet twice weekly in separate sessions run by our math teachers. Students review and preview math topics, get homework help, and enjoy math games and challenges. While the program was initially designed for students in need of extra support, even many of our upper level math students have also signed up – just because they love math! Our teachers provide a nurturing and fun environment for all.Earlier this month, Arie Crown partnered with the JUF TOV Network for a unique and unforgettable week of chessed. The JUF worked hard to arrange activities that would benefit our community while being a positive experience for the students at Arie Crown. From crafting fleece blankets for Chai Lifeline and baking with Keshet students to shopping for the ARK food pantry, all students had the opportunity to get involved in helping others. We thank the JUF for partnering with us and look forward to working together on future projects.
