Kehillah Jewish Education Fund is a reliable funding system for our local Jewish day schools to ensure that every Jewish family wanting a Jewish day school education can have it, thus guaranteeing Jewish continuity.
KJEF was started because the average Jewish family simply cannot afford the $10,000+ tuition per child. We believe that a Jewish education is the right of every child and the responsibility of our community. You and I benefit from the vibrancy of the community. You and I are responsible to support it.
Every person in the community is asked to self-tax to pay for the school system. Each person considers what our combined school system does for the community, and what they can budget to support that system. An easy automated payment system is set up to efficiently collect the monies monthly and the monies are then allocated per capita to our schools.
